Ian Hudson is a Sheffield-based artist and DJ who specialises in acrylic painting and sculpture, with a focus on creating vibrant works of pop art inspired by his love for the house music and rave scene. His work serves as a testament to the transformative power of music, and as a visual record of countless nights spent lost in the rhythm.

 

His art reflects his personal journey through three decades of the underground scene, with this fusion of his passions resulting in his solo exhibition ‘35 Years of House’. He spent 2025 creating 50 bespoke pieces and gathering together house music legends and local Sheffield DJs to create a unique and successful exhibition.

 

Ian also DJs himself under the name ‘Hudson Art’, and runs a successful Sheffield-based events company named ‘The Art of House’, who host house music events across the city, with a wide variety of other local DJs.  

 

Ian is available to offer one-of-a-kind commissions and murals (as well as original artworks and prints for sale), and keep an eye out for his upcoming merchandise — Ian’s artwork has previously been featured on the runway at Berlin fashion week, so you won’t want to miss out. 

 

He is currently working on a new set of paintings for the upcoming September 2026 exhibition, ‘36 Years of House’, held in Sheffield.
